Angelides Campaign Statement on the Governor's Comments Before the NAACP

SACRAMENTO, CA - Angelides campaign spokesman Nick Papas issued the following statement today:

California's African-American voters are smart enough not to be hoodwinked by a few church visits and meetings by a Republican governor before Election Day. The Governor's real record is reflected in an administration that looks like an Alabama country club in the 1950's, with a record low number of African-American appointments to key positions and the bench.

Now, it appears the Governor is trying to run away from the party of George W. Bush and the culture of corruption in Washington.  But Californians know they can't trust this Governor.
