Angelides Statement on Schwarzenegger's Support for the War in Iraq

SACRAMENTO, CA - California State Treasurer and Democratic nominee for Governor Phil Angelides issued the following statement today after Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger called Angelides' efforts to bring our troops home "irresponsible:"

"Today, the Governor has said that my views, my speaking out against this war is irresponsible. Well I've got news for you Arnold Schwarzenegger: it is irresponsible to continue to defend George W. Bush's failed policy in Iraq. You disserve our nation and you disserve our troops."

Schwarzenegger's defense of the war in Iraq comes on the same day Bob Woodward reports that the level of violence in Iraq has been masked by the Bush Administration and that violence in Iraq is expected to increase in 2007.
