Meet Phil
I am running for Governor because I still believe in the California of limitless possibilities and big dreams. Throughout my life - even when it hasn't been popular - I have stood up for the values of responsibility, fairness, and broadened opportunity that built the wealth and strength of our state.
For over 30 years, as a private citizen and a public leader, I have served the people of this great state - working in state government, running my own environmentally-conscious company, serving as chair of the California Democratic Party. For the last 7 years I have worked tirelessly as State Treasurer to make sound financial decisions on behalf of all Californians.
Now I want to be your Governor to stand up for you and for generations of Californians to come.
